Our commitment

In collaboration with Bouygues Energies and Services Canada, WASCO was contracted by Winnipeg Airports Authority to provide airport operations and facility maintenance services at the Winnipeg Richardson International Airport.

Since 2015, our joint team operates the Airport Operations Centre, Baggage Operations Centre, Pass Office, and Janitorial Services. The combination of these two industry-leading companies provides a robust network that extends throughout Canada and around the world. This insight allows us to create unique service delivery and solutions that seamlessly support the day-to-day operations, as well as the long-term aspirations of the airport.

Systems improvement

Striving for continuous improvement, the operation in Winnipeg is now a fully accredited ISO 9001 Quality Management System, demonstrating our commitment to consistent operational excellence and customer service.

Under the leadership of the on-site contract manager, our team of nearly 30 staff provide quality and effective airport operations and facility maintenance services to one of Canada’s top 10 airports in a 24-7 environment.

During the project development and implementation phases, WASCO worked extensively with the Winnipeg Airports Authority to develop and refine transferable systems that could be applied to other airport environments. This enables our team to streamline new operations at other airport sites using similar baseline processes, modified to suit the local systems, resources, environments, and culture.
